The MAX14885E, a 2:2 VGA switch, connects a VGA source to a VGA monitor. 顯卡所處理的信息最終都要輸出到顯示器上，顯卡的輸出接口就是電腦不顯示器之間的橋梁，它負責向顯示器輸出相應的圖像信號。CRT顯示器因為設計制造上的原因，只能接受模擬信號輸入，這就需要顯卡能輸入模擬信號。VGA接口就是顯卡上輸出模擬信號的接口，VGA（Video Graphics Array）接口，也叫D-Sub接口。雖然液晶顯示器可以直接接收數字信號，但為了兼容性，大多數液晶顯示器也配備了VGA接口。 VGA是IBM在1987年隨PS／2機一起推出的一種視頻傳輸標準，具有分辨率高、顯示速率快、顏色豐富等優點，在彩色顯示器領域得到了廣泛的應用。目前VGA技術的應用還主要基亍VGA顯示卡的計算機、筆記本等設備。 根據分辨率丌同，VGA分為VGA（640x480）、SVGA（800x600）、XGA（1024x768）、SXGA（1280x1024）等。

This white paper discusses how market trends, the need for increased productivity, and new legislation have accelerated the use of safety systems in industrial machinery. This TÜV-qualified FPGA design methodology is changing the paradigms of safety designs and will greatly reduce development effort, system complexity, and time to market. This allows FPGA users to design their own customized safety controllers and provides a significant competitive advantage over traditional microcontroller or ASIC-based designs. Introduction The basic motivation of deploying functional safety systems is to ensure safe operation as well as safe behavior in cases of failure. Examples of functional safety systems include train brakes, proximity sensors for hazardous areas around machines such as fast-moving robots, and distributed control systems in process automation equipment such as those used in petrochemical plants. The International Electrotechnical Commission’s standard, IEC 61508: “Functional safety of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety-related systems,” is understood as the standard for designing safety systems for electrical, electronic, and programmable electronic (E/E/PE) equipment. This standard was developed in the mid-1980s and has been revised several times to cover the technical advances in various industries. In addition, derivative standards have been developed for specific markets and applications that prescribe the particular requirements on functional safety systems in these industry applications. Example applications include process automation (IEC 61511), machine automation (IEC 62061), transportation (railway EN 50128), medical (IEC 62304), automotive (ISO 26262), power generation, distribution, and transportation. 圖Figure 1. VGA 是視頻圖形陣列（Video Graphics Array）的簡稱，是IBM 于1987 年提出的一個使用模擬信號的圖形顯示標準。最初的VGA 標準最大只能支持640*480 分辨率的顯示器，而為了適應大屏幕的應用，視頻電氣標準化組織VESA（Video Electronics StandardsAssociation 的簡稱）將VGA 標準擴展為SVGA 標準，SVGA 標準能夠支持更大的分辨率。人們通常所說的VGA 實際上指的就是VESA 制定的SVGA 標準。(1). VGA 接口VGA 采用15 針的接口，用于顯示的接口信號主要有5 個：1 個行同步信號、1 個場同步信號以及3 個顏色信號，接口還包含自測試以及地址碼信號，一般由不同的制造商定義，主要用來進行測試及支持其它功能。

介紹了基于Xilinx Spartan- 3E FPGA XC3S250E 來完成分辨率為738×575 的PAL 制數字視頻信號到800×600 的VGA 格式轉換的實現方法。關鍵詞: 圖像放大; PAL; VGA; FPGA 目前, 絕大多數監控系統中采用的高解析度攝像機均由47 萬像素的CCD 圖像傳感器采集圖像, 經DSP 處理后輸出的PAL 制數字視頻信號不能直接在VGA 顯示器上顯示, 而在許多場合需要在VGA 顯示器上實時監視, 這就需要將隔行PAL 制數字視頻轉換為逐行視頻并提高幀頻, 再將每幀圖像放大到800×600 或1 024×768。常用的圖像放大的方法有很多種, 如最臨近賦值法、雙線性插值法、樣條插值法等[ 1] 。由于要對圖像進行實時顯示, 本文采用一種近似的雙線性插值方法對圖像進行放大。隨著微電子技術及其制造工藝的發展, 可編程邏輯器件的邏輯門密度有了很大提高, 現場可編程邏輯門陣列( FPGA) 有著邏輯資源豐富和可重復以及系統配置的靈活性, 同時隨著微處理器、專用邏輯器件以及DSP 算法以IP Core 的形式嵌入到FPGA 中[ 2] , FPGA 的功能越來越強, 因此FPGA 在現代電子系統設計中發揮著越來越重要的作用。本課題的設計就是采用VHDL 描述, 基于FPGA 來實現的。
