Older versions of kdb had complete patches for each architecture it supported, each patch included all the common kdb code. This format was awkward to maintain and use for multiple PlatForms. Starting with kdb v2.0 there is a common patch against each kernel which contains all the architecture independent code plus separate architecture dependent patches. Either use an old style (v1.8 or v1.9) kdb patch or use a new style (v2.0) common patch plus the corresponding architecture dependent patch.

Most code samples included on this CD were developed with Microsoft Visual C++ version 5.0 and the Microsoft Windows CE Toolkit for Visual C++ version 5.0. The Sspi and Crypto samples were developed with Microsoft Visual C++ version 6.0 and the Microsoft Windows CE Toolkit for Visual C++ 6.0. The code in sample applications is ported for a Handheld PC, but the programming concepts that are presented apply to all Windows CE-based PlatForms.

This set of simulation files performs a computational complexity performance comparison of the two methods mentioned in the paper. The source is ANSI-C compliant, hence any C-compiler can be used to compile the source code. It has been tested using Visual Studio.net C++ and TI code composer studio C compiler for the TMS320C6701. Note that the performance comparison may be different for different PlatForms.

EDB (Evan s Debugger) is a QT4 based binary mode debugger with the goal of having usability on par with OllyDbg. It uses a plugin architecture, so adding new features can be done with ease. The current release is for Linux, but future releases will target more PlatForms. Release focus: Major feature enhancements Changes: A new disassembly engine. A bug that could cause crashing was fixed. There is a new flags breakdown in the register view, an environment view plugin, and improved analysis (including a good speed increase). A bug in QT where disabled events could be triggered has been worked around.

The sfloppy sample is a super floppy driver that resides in the directory \\Ntddk\Src\Storage\sfloppy. It is a class driver for Super Floppy disk drives. It sits a level above the port driver (ATAPI, USB, etc) in the driver stack, and brokers communication between the application level and the port driver. The floppy driver takes requests from filesystem drivers and then sends the appropriate SCSI_REQUEST_BLOCK (SRB) to the port driver. It is compatible with x86 and IA64 PlatForms.
